Learning by doing är en pedagogisk term myntad av John Dewey. Den betyder i princip upplevelsebaserad inlärning. Översätts ordagrannt med "att lära genom att göra". Många tror felaktigt att Robert Baden-Powell skapade detta lärosätt, men det gjorde han ej. Det används huvudsakligen inom scoutrörelsen.
